a four-part British television drama serial (2017), written and directed by Peter Kosminsky that narrates the experiences of four young British Muslims who fly to Syria to join the Islamic State.

The episode begins with the statement that “it’s 2015. Men and women from all over the world are travelling to Syria to join the Islamic State.”

Four young British muslims (former doctor Shakira with her son, ateenage boy named Isaac, Ushna, Jalal and Ziyad men) make their journey to Syria to join the Islamic State.

Men’s side:
Two friends Jalal and Ziyad go into an extensive training camp. One guy questions each one of them to see what each person is good at in order to best use the person’s skills in the Islamic State.

Later on, the two men go into the city, where men are gathering. A speaker claims that everyone is in Syria because they want an Islamic dawla (nation). Then urges the newcomers to drop their passports in the fire to burn them.

The next day, the 2 men start their training (practical and informational such as how to use suicidal explosives, and how to take down as many enemies as possible)

In the evening, the newcomers go into a pool and enjoy their evening.

The next day, during the training, one man who trains the newcomers claims that women have many deficiencies and encourages the newcomers to ignore these temporary delights. He goes on to state remember you as a mujahid are known to 72 women watching you, staring at you every bit of every day. A girl with the perfect eyes, perfect figure.A girl who likes no one but you.

Jalal tries to find out more about his brother and befriends Sayed who claims that Jalal’s brother was beheaded because he was a traitor, a deserter even though he was claimed to be a martyr in Dabiq magazine.

Women’s side:
The newcomers go in a house only for women, where a Western (possibly an American) woman gives me a tour of the apartment while claiming that they would pay no rent or bills. They would receive four and drink each month at no charge, plus an allowance. She also claims that if the new comers need anything from the store, they need to tell the others to get them as long as they do not go outside; that is left to the men. The Western woman also claims that in the dawlah (the State) there is no woman who stays single; they need to get married as soon as possible - she refers to the Prophet who said that marriage is half the din (religion).

Next the Western woman collects the newcomers phones.

In a conversation between Isaac, Shakira and Ushna, who is upset that she can’t contact her family back home, Shakira states that it is an obligation for every Muslim to make hijrah but Ushna argues that it is also very important in the din to keep the ties of kinship.

The next day, the ladies go to a class room full of women to have an information session and to ask any questions the newcomers would want: questions such as how to get married? Women fight with the Kurds, why can’t we fight? Because in the days of the Prophet, women fought.
